Every body is different. Abby works with each client and their individual needs to create the session that is just right for them on the very day they enter the Helpful Healing Hands studio. She can perform each of these services below on their own in a session or blend the different modalities together, depending on what the client wants and needs for their body. Abby takes a great interest in each of her clients’ everyday movements and patterns that may be causing them discomfort in their life.

In a session of any or all of these services, Abby hopes to relieve pain and send you home in a state of relaxation. She also incorporates the knowledge of self care and body awareness to help prevent further chronic pain and tension and increase ones range of motion. All this in a comfortable, safe and positive environment where you will feel welcome and ready to let it all go.

Abby uses her intuition and her own heightened listening tools to determine which energetic healing technique will be most useful for each client individually, in that very moment. Her husband Joshua Ramay is a phenomenal energy practitioner, teacher and author, he works at the same location and sees new clients daily. Check out his website to learn more.

Abby Performing Craniosacral Therapy

Circulatory/Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. Lotions, oils or aromatherapy oils are applied to the skin so techniques such as rolling, kneading and percussion can be applied with ease. Circulatory massage can be as light or deep as you like! This type of massage promotes general relaxation, improves blood circulation, promotes stress reduction and assist the lymphatic system in cleansing the body of toxins.

Nueromuscular Therapy (NMT)

NMT is a style of bodywork helping to relieve pain by releasing trigger points within the muscle tissue. Using a keen sense of anatomy, combined with cross fiber and trigger point searching techniques help to release the places with pain. NMT is beneficial for those experiencing chronic pain, whether from overuse, misuse or previous injury this type of bodywork will help to increase your range of motion and reduce pain within minutes.

Energetic Healing Techniques

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) – CST is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on alternative medicine procedure for evaluating and enhancing the body’s own natural healing mechanism. This type of work increases energetic movement throughout the body, clearing blockages that form throughout our lives creating disharmony in our bodies.

Matrix Energetics – Possibly the most powerful transformational approach in existence today, Matrix Energetics is described by its creator, Dr. Richard Bartlett, as a “consciousness technology” based on the principles of quantum physics (but not limited to it). This evolving system/field of energy regards reality (and your body) as simply Light, energetic resonance, and information. As such, utilizing shifts in awareness, we can manifest entirely new experiential outcomes in our holographic reality, and in the conditions of your body. The process accesses massive transformation and limitless possibilities from the field of the heart. (I am an uncertified practitioner, but have been to many seminars and am quite skilled in this magical modality.)

Reiki – (Quoted from Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes self-healing. Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means “Universal Life-Force Energy” in Japanese, and is a form of therapy that uses simple hands-on (or off) radiatory energy techniques with the goal of improving the flow of life energy (ki, or chi) of a person. Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

Distance Sessions – All of these energetic healing techniques can also be incorporated into a Distance session, if you do not live in San Diego, or simply can not leave your home please schedule a distance session. Just make a note when booking that this will be a session on the phone, please leave your number and if you have FaceTime and I will promptly call at the session time.

Passive Joint Movement and Deep Tissue

These two methods blend together two very unique massage modalities. Passive joint involves gentle rocking motions and slow passive (without the client helping) movements of the joints. Deep tissue compressions are then applied to the muscle attaching to the joints which are being moved. Creating a gently inviting environment for the muscle to learn a different way of moving than its everyday habit. This is a wonderful modality for releasing tight muscles which may be holding and restricting ones range of motion.

Table Thai

Table Thai massage combines pressure point work with a wide variety of stretching movements, gentle rocking and rhythmic compressions applied very slowly. Traditionally Thai massage is performed on the floor with the client fully clothed. At Helpful Healing Hands we can do a full session on the table clothed or blend in several of the movements with other types of bodywork using careful and safe draping techniques with the sheets. This type of bodywork is especially usefully for clients looking to increase their range of motion and flexibility.
